Who in the world knows

what it is

to be so        afraid

of

who you were...

are

that you can’t bare

to show

your heart

or        

your mind

to not a     solitary       soul

because

humiliation and 

ridicule

by uninvited guests

who let you in

left a stain on your brain

that takes time to rub off

erased, replaced, renewed.
