I see you I hear you

If only I had listened to you

If I’d had more respect for you

I wish I’d shut out the noise

The chitter chatter filling a void

You weren’t ready to be pushed

You didn’t like who you were

You were disengaged and unaligned

You didn’t know how to stand  up for you

Now I can forgive you

For not knowing how to be true

For not doing what you wanted

Instead of what you thought was expected

I hear you loud and clear

I see you are aware to feel

I hold your values close to you

I trust you will do what’s right for you.
